The ultimate goals of gene discovery is to find appropriate treatments including repurposing of drugs, antisense oligonucleotides, gene therapy and CRISPR-based editing. We are at the forefront of these approaches to treatments by our own efforts and collaborations with various teams. Recent paper in NEJM 2019 is testimony to our collaborative effort using ASO to treat a girl with neurodegenerative disorder.
